I Love You Child My Whole Life Long, Be It Right or Be It Wrong, I’m Only What You Make Me Baby, Don’t Walk Away Don’t Be So Shady…..

I had to struggle with a question recently that I’ve struggled with for 19 years…
What do you want to do with your life? I always hated those aptitude tests. In fact I think we cheated on those to have it spit out something like “Plumber” or “Library Techinician”. So what do I want to do with my life??
Quite frankly, I’m doing it.
What most people fall into the trap of is not my JOB, not even my CAREER, but if you ask me what I want to do with my life, I’m DOING it. I’ve been to great concerts, I’ve seen awesome sporting events live, I’ve seen musicals and theatrical shows, I’ve travelled to almost everywhere I’ve ever wanted to go, I’ve shopped the best shopping, I’ve met music and media moguls, and lastly I’ve got two little Ninjas to pass all the knowledge of the world on to.
Sure, I’m good at my job. Sure, I’m good at what I do. Sure, I have a passion for what I do and what field I’m in. The last interview I had told me exactly what I knew, and reinforced it. Sometimes you need to hear it from an unbiased third party source. It also confirmed what I’m worth.
The question of “What do I want to do with my life” is then not “Can I?” but “SHOULD I??” I always knew at an early rate in life that if you learned the proper systems, the proper processes, and had the right network connections, I could feasibly do anything that I put my mind to. And now, with retail at it’s highest level of competition and it’s lowest point in the last 25 years, what’s next? What’s on the horizon? What’s the next level, the next transformation, the next manifestation?

Another weekend, and another laundry list of errands to run, things to do, house to clean, and chores to be done!

Baby Brooklyn got smart really fast, and instead of helping her Daddy clean the house, she opted for watching Dora videos on the iPad. Look at that smirk on her face too! She’s only two years old and she knows how to dodge housework!!

One of these days she’ll understand that when the flash comes on, she doesn’t have to squint her eyes.

Or maybe not.

This was the funniest look when the flash didn’t come on, Brooklyn was like “What? What happened? Did you take the picture already??”

This is still my current favorite hat right now. A lot of people ask me where I got it, and when I tell them, they’re always like “WHAT? You went all the way there to get that hat??” Yep, that’s how you end up with hats that nobody else has. Duhhhh.

And then it was off to run our errands and chores for the weekend! Tigger and Pooh were coming along for the ride today, and somehow they always end up in one of my pockets.

So….. this will be the first year in 8 years that we’re putting up a Christmas tree. The first one EVER for Baby Brooklyn. So I had to get a special ornament for her and to commemorate her first very own tree (more on that later when the tree actually goes up).

In the meantime, I got myself my own HOMEEMAS ornament from Hallmark! It’s the talking YODA ornament!

Instantly, Baby Brooklyn took it herself and almost drained the batteries out of it from pushing the talk button so many times! The Force is Strong with Baby Brooklyn!!

And now she won’t let Yoda go, not even when she goes to bed! The funnier part is that she sometimes calls Yoda as Luda (Ludacris), and they really ARE the same height!
