When the Day Turns Into the Last Day of All Time, I Can Say I Hope You Are In These Arms of Mine…..

Sort of sad in a way that this will be known as Brooklyn’s last picture as an only child!

And she’s just as beautiful as ever even at 6am in a waiting room!

For everyone who’s craving pictures of me, this is REALLY me! A Ninja in real life!

And at 8:30am, weighing in at 6 lbs and 3 ozs, introducing…. AMERIE!!
So amazing that she came out with a full head of hair!! Brooklyn didn’t have hair that long until she was at least 4 months!  Then again, Brooklyn didn’t weigh that much until she was 4 months either!

And how did Brooklyn react to her new sister? She LOVED her of course!! Being around so many new babies, Brooklyn was just waiting to have one of her own! And if you’ll notice, Amerie has the Dragon Side Eye Stare already down  pat! Good Ninjas!!

Brooklyn actually kissed Amerie so much, she was squishing the poor kid’s whole head!

I Don’t Care Where We Go, I Don’t Care What We Do, I Don’t Care Pretty Baby, Just Take Me With You…..

Ok, so how do you top two Jay-Z and Kanye West shows in a row?
Well, you could always go to Prince the VERY next night? Three shows in three nights? Be careful what you wish for, right? And if a Prince show isn’t enough, how about the first show of his Canada only tour? And if that isn’t enough, then how about Row One Floor Seats? And if that isn’t enough, how about going with someone who’s a bigger Prince fan than you are?

All in all, a VERY different show (of course) than the Jay-Z/Kanye show, but still one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen. He did all the hits, I don’t think I could name one song worth doing that he didn’t do. Heck, he even did other people’s songs. What’s most impressive, he did 3 straight hours, all him, no opening act, no guest appearance, all Prince. His encores all got better after each one. It started to look like he would play until 2am. I was happy just to knock Prince off of my bucket list, but front row floors with a super fan was enough to knock it right out of the bucket list ballpark.
Methinks that this will be enough concerts for me for a little while.

I Wish For You A Hundred Years of Success, But It’s My Time…..

Pardon my giddyness. It’s the eve of three really really big nights to end the year off with a big bang. Jay-Z and Kanye West live in Toronto for the next two nights. Add on a Prince Canada only concert on Friday night. Don’t worry, you’ll get a recap. Eventually.
I know for sure I’m going to lose my voice right after Wednesday’s show. The best part is that I have two really important meetings at work on Thurs and Friday. No idea as to how that’s going to go over. Lord only knows I’ll end up sick on the weekend.
It’s been a year of highs, it’s been a year of lows. It’s been a year to knock a few more things off the bucket list. It’s been a testing year. It’s been a confusing year. I lost my religion this year. It’s been an emotional train wreck year. The year’s not even over yet though. That will all get put to the side for a few hours. For a few hours each night, my universe will be a vaccuum and I will be lost in the music.

Love You Child My Whole Life Long, It’s Been Right or Been Wrong…..

So….. this will be the first year in 8 years that we’re putting up a Christmas tree. The first one EVER for Baby Brooklyn. So I had to get a special ornament for her and to commemorate her first very own tree (more on that later when the tree actually goes up).

In the meantime, I got myself my own HOMEEMAS ornament from Hallmark! It’s the talking YODA ornament!

Instantly, Baby Brooklyn took it herself and almost drained the batteries out of it from pushing the talk button so many times! The Force is Strong with Baby Brooklyn!!

And now she won’t let Yoda go, not even when she goes to bed! The funnier part is that she sometimes calls Yoda as Luda (Ludacris), and they really ARE the same height!
